Apple Harvest Festival Committee
The Apple Harvest Festival is the largest event of the year and is solely funded and organized by the CRV Chamber. Over 120 crafters and 30 food vendors, family entertainment and carnival rides, over 17,000 attendees are attracted to the community for this traditional New England festival. 300 volunteers from the Chamber and community assist in the success of this event. It’s “all hands on deck” for Glastonbury’s signature event. Join the committee to help plan the biggest event the Chamber puts on!
CT River Valley Classic Golf Tournament Committee
140+ golfers enjoy a shotgun tournament including lunch, dinner and prizes. This annual event is held at a different Chamber member's course each spring. There are several different ways to help; join the raffle committee, the sponsorship committee or volunteering day of.
Creatives Group
This cluster group of the Chamber will give you the opportunity to meet and network with fellow businesses that fall into the "creative" category. Brainstorm ideas, learn from others in your field, expand your network of members you know in the Chamber. Government Relations Group
Our purpose is to work with our lawmakers to establish laws and regulations that will affect the ability of our member businesses to compete while continuing to generate income and jobs that will help improve the quality of life in our region and the state. Health & Wellness Council
The Chamber has an active Health & Wellness Council comprised of over 75 members that meets monthly to focus on developing programs and events for Chamber members and the community that promote healthy living. Past events have included Do a 180, MOVE!, Do a 180!, Think, Do a 180!, Live, fitness festivals, competitions, seminars, road races, volleyball, a wellness expo and virtual competitions.
Leads Exchange Group
Leads Exchange Group is open to Chamber members and those interested in joining the Chamber. All attendees have a thirty-second opportunity to introduce themselves, explain what their business has to offer and what lead they are looking for. The group meets on the first and third Thursdays from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. at Firehouse Subs, 2520 Main Street, Glastonbury. There is a no fee to attend. To be listed on the roster that is handed out to all attendees, you must register one day prior to the event. Women of the Workforce
WOW began in 2007 to gather women together to address relevant issues that equip, enlighten, empower and bring balance to a professional woman’s life. A different speaker is featured each month to present topics such as networking strategies, nutrition, public speaking, blogging, etc. The first half hour is devoted to networking and the presentation begins at 8:30 a.m. All women are welcome to attend this free event. You do not need to be a member to attend. WOW meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 8:15 - 9:30 a.m. at the Chamber office, 2400 Main Street, Glastonbury.
